Evening & a new project

Hello, I hope you are all keeping well and safe, I am currently ill suffering with a slight chesty wheezy cough and tight chest.  Which I think is a flare up of my COPD, so I am back on my rescue pack of steroids and antibiotics.   Plus doubling up on my normal inhalers, I feel rough but would not say it was anything worse than a flare up.  It is safe to say being stuck in is giving me chance to think of what I need to do to make my ideas grow.

If how ever this does not seem better once the packs are finished, then I will get in touch with the none emergency for advice.  Better news for me is the fact I have started to write again I figured why put the writings out for free while I could put them out for sale.  Short books will be either free or cheap, Novella’s and Novelettes £ 1.99 – 5.00, Novels would be £8 – £12.  

I will be publishing them on the following sites.

Smash Words who distribute to Library Direct, Cloud Library, Gardeners Extended retail, Odilo, Gardeners Library.

Draft 2 Digital (I love this site mainly as it takes stress out of formatting) This site distributes to Books2Read, Barnes & Noble, Rakuten Kobo, Apple Books, Scribd, Tolino, 24 symbols, Overdrive, Baker & Taylor.

LULU 
Lulu bookstore Which will give me more coverage with the books I am putting out for sale.   I always say the first and most important investment is the one I do in my own work.

Why have I set up Copsewood Promotions.

As a writer who has written my first book, I know that it is hard to get coverage for your book unless you are on Amazon.   So, I have thought about this matter and decided that I would offer my services.   For the following prices.  Eventually I might create a separate site for this project.

I can not guarantee this will bring you more custom, but I can guarantee it will raise awareness of the company charity or product. 

Why I will not go with Amazon KDP Select

Now days I write on word with editor switched on, then I read it through and use the audio facility to listen to it. Then if I am happy with it I pass it onto an editor at http://hugeorange.com for editing and then read it again before I even go to publish. I publish on D2D for ebook and Amazon for paperback and Lulu for hardback. I will be looking for a way to do audios in the future.

Anyway, back then in 2015 I found that Amazon’s KDP Select left me with no room to manoeuvre so I could not take my eBook anywhere else. The royalties were not very much back then but now I am back in the swing of things I have decided to try a different publisher and publish independently. This other publisher is Draft2Digital or D2D as it is also known. Unlike with Amazon D2D publish and offer your eBook to several different online stores like Barnes and Noble and the others on this Blog.

Which ultimately gives writers more coverage upon the eBooks, than Amazon ever did, besides this the process of turning the book into a published eBook is easier. You just need to clearly identify where the new chapters start, and their system will do it for you.

As soon as I am informed that my book is available on another site, I will update you all on that. Every like and follow are a boost to my confidence it tells me someone likes my work. My goal is not to become rich although that would be nice it is to break even or at least make enough to get off the benefits.

Upon a different subject I will be using word’s facilities from now on.
